Charlotte Lewis-Merry
Charlotte is our Financial Planner, as well as one of our Paraplanners. After beginning her career in financial services more than seven years ago, Charlotte received her Diploma in Financial Planning in 2015. We were delighted to welcome her into the Vital team in October 2020.
Why Vital?
Charlotte has often said she knew she wanted to work at Vital Financial Planning from the very first moment she met Lewys. She felt a connection between herself and the long-term view Lewys has for Vital using forward-thinking. We know that financial services have a certain reputation, which our entire team go against here.
Like all our staff here at Vital Financial Planning, Charlotte plays a huge role in contributing to our fantastic team atmosphere.
Day-to-day activities
A day in the life of Charlotte includes: answering client queries, preparing for client reviews, writing client recommendations, seeing her clients and keeping up to date with the world of financial services. According to Charlotte, the best part of the role is seeing clients. She loves catching up with people whom she only gets to see a handful of times a year.
Memorable moments
While working at Vital, Charlotte has created many memories, however, the one she will always remember is her second interview before landing the role. Due to wanting a face-to-face interview without breaking any Covid restrictions, Charlotte and Lewys met at a service station and carried out the interview in the car park on camp chairs. Weā€™re sure sheā€™ll never have another interview like it!
Charlotte has often commented on the immense pride she has every single time sheā€™s able to make a true difference for her clients. She especially loves helping people buy their first home, particularly when they didnā€™t think it was possible.
Outside of work
Outside of work hours, you can often find Charlotte outdoors, often by the coast. She regularly goes camping and loves long days on the beach, come rain or shine (although shine is the preference!).
Charlotte adores rugby, watching it whenever she can, as well as being a coach for an under 9s local rugby team. After recently adopting a Bulldog with a love for long walks, her step counter has never looked healthier.
